Okay, so… I need to explain some things about this website.

This is a new website! If you think you’re already subscribed, you might not be.

This site redirects from the old one, but the domain changed. Now it’s ArtStardust.com, not ArtemisStardust.com.

When I switched to Ghost, I lost over 500 subscribers. Now I have 50.

I’m starting over in a lot of ways.

I have about the same number of people pledging support over on my Patreon. I used to be able to pay rent and cover bills with that. Now I make less than my half of rent. That’s partially the economy, and partially because I needed a serious break for about a year.

But… I can’t really expect people to support me if they can’t see what I’m producing, even if my main occupation became my mental health.

I have a Substack, but I don’t charge anyone there because I just use it to redirect to my own site. Also, I don’t want them to have my money because they platform Nazis. Also also, Patreon is problematic, and I’d like to get away from them, soon, too.

I need income, but I hate paywalls. Paywalls have created or at least contributed to so many problems with the modern Internet. For starters, how do we expect to be informed, when the most “trustworthy” sources of information cost money?

It’s just gatekeeping.

If you want to support my blog, I can’t promise you’ll get much bonus content. You’ll just be helping me keep it free for everyone.

But who is still reading blogs these days? Isn’t that so 2010, or something?

I’m slowly building some key things that I hope will make this website different from other blogs.

1.        Free resources

I have been developing an index of free resources. This will include links to both practical and more theory-based material. I want to have a place where it’s easy to find links to information that don’t involve navigating an algorithmic platform. This is almost ready to post, and will be a main page on the site.

2.        Videos

I am working on creating video versions of my posts, but that takes additional time and effort. Because of this, my upcoming posts are coming along slowly. I have been doing better physically, though, so that should help with my ability to produce videos. I wrote more about this in a post that is now free on Patreon.

3.        Content Guide

This website contains hundreds of posts from over a decade of writing. I want to create an archive where you can see more than just when something was posted. It will contain brief descriptions and a timeline of events so you can easily find what you’re looking for. I also hope to make videos to go along with some of my more prominent posts over the years.

I’m truly excited about these projects, and I’ve been spending time gathering resources, rehearsing video scripts, and planning the guide. I hope these will make the site more dynamic.

Please subscribe here if you haven’t yet! I’m eager to share all this with you.
